GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Anjeka-6190A is a polymer dispersant, a standard additive for resin-free pigment concentrates for aqueous coating systems, printing inks and adhesives. It is mainly used for grinding inorganic pigments such as titanium dioxide, matting powder, calcium powder, etc. It has good viscosity reduction properties and excellent resistance to strong alkali.

STORAGE and TRANSPORT

When stored or transported at temperatures below 0°C, delamination or turbidity may occur. Heat to 20°C and stir before use.

Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Water-based inks and coatings, as well as general-purpose colour pastes.

Properties and advantages.

This additive causes pigment deflocculation through spatial stabilisation. Due to the small particle size of the deflocculated pigment, it is possible to achieve a high gloss and increased colour strength. Additionally, the transparency of transparent pigments and the opacity of opaque pigments are enhanced. The reduced viscosity improves the flow properties and allows the pigment content to be increased.

This additive is ideal for producing stable, resin-free pigment concentrates with a pigment content of 30–70%. These pigment concentrates can be used for paint mixing with standard aqueous bases.

This additive is also recommended for the production of stabilized resin-free pigment concentrates for the preparation of waterborne coatings with no floating/blooming colors.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS

Additive dosage (in purchased form) is based on pigment:

Inorganic pigments: 2-10%

Organic pigments: 10%-80

Carbon black: 10%-100

The above data are empirical, the optimum amount should be determined by a series of tests.
